Our Story

Like many good ideas, Save MC² Foundation began with a conversation. Originally, our founders planned to name the organization “Save Energy.” However, that name was already taken. During a brainstorming session, one of our founders asked a simple question: “Why don’t we use Einstein?”

At first, everyone was confused—Einstein? How?
Then he explained.

Albert Einstein’s famous equation for energy is E = MC². If MC² represents energy, then saving MC² means saving energy.

That connection sparked something special. Not only was the name meaningful and creative, but it also reflected the science behind energy itself. As it turned out, the name Save MC² Foundation and the website were available—making the idea both symbolic and practical. And just like that, our name was born.
